Percepto's Sparrow Drone To Be Deployed For Power Plant Inspection In Italy
Drones have become the ultimate option for monitoring, surveying and inspection. Enel, the multinational energy company has implemented this strategy and selected Percepto's Sparrow system to monitor the Torrevaldaliga Nord power plant in Italy. The Sparrow's AI and computer vision technology will allow it to operate as independently as possible, and the collected aerial footage, photography is transmitted to Enel in real-time. "While drones are touted as the technology of the future, the ability to act autonomously unlocks their true potential, enabling them to act as a responsible, independent and smart team member that provides not only a bird's eye view of facilities, but real, actionable insights," said Percepto CEO, Dor Abuhasira. The goal is to introduce cost-effective and practical drone support to a business model attempting to continuously refine itself.
Minnesota Department Of Transportation Helped People Learn About UAV's
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV's) or better called drones, are becoming quite popular. But, with its growth a very few know its proper application and operation. Not everyone knows how they're allowed to use them. For this reason, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is helping people learn about drones. Various people learnt about the technology and there were also flights simulations and Competitive drone racing.

Drone Rescued 65 People Over Past Year – DEEP AERO DRONES – Medium
According to the DJI's report, around 65 people have been rescued by drones in the last year. The report, "More Lives Saved: A Year Of Drone Rescues Around The World," features the innovative drone technology, and the rapid adoption by first responders to increase the pace of drone use in critical public safety missions. Reports have also stated that drones have dropped buoys to struggling swimmers in Australia and Brazil, and found helpless people in fields, rivers, and mountains. Approximately, 22 out of 65 "were at great risk of death, such as stranded in a body of water or exposed to hazardous weather." "Drones allow rescuers a way to find missing people, deliver supplies like food and life vests, and cut search and response times from hours to minutes," says Brendan Schulman, DJI's Vice-President of policy and legal affairs.

How DEEP AERO's Autonomous, Drone-powered Logistics and Transport Economy Works - Global Coin Report
Manned flight has been a staple of modern transport and logistics for over half a century -- but not without problems. Our current infrastructure for transporting people and goods in the skies has become strained with the rising demands of the globalized economy. DEEP AERO is developing a foundation for a new type of infrastructure: a drone-based ecosystem, complete with an air traffic control platform, a drone marketplace for on-demand logistics and transport, and more -- all securely stored and transacted on DEEP AERO's blockchain. The rising globalized economy can no longer be dependent upon antiquated methods and technology that was designed for the 20th century. The skyrocketing demand for global commerce and travel is limited by our capacity to transport goods and people in a timely, cost-effective way.

The New Drone Lighting Solutions Rolled Out By FoxFury
FoxFury Lighting Solutions rolled out new lighting solutions for the DJI drones. "The Rugo drone mounts require no tools to assemble and can be attached and removed easily," stated the company. "FoxFury is excited to have quality mounts available that permit Rugos to be used as drone-mounted lighting solutions. The Rugo can now help perform critical inspections at night and help capture key scenes," states Mario Cugini, CEO of FoxFury. The 360-degree rotational swivel allows the light to be positioned at any angle, and the waterproof light is visible from three statute miles, which also satisfies the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for night flight.
Drone Deliveries and Passenger Drone Moves A Step Towards Reality
Although robotic flying taxi and drone deliveries would take years to become a reality, the US Department of Transportation has moved a step ahead to make this a reality soon. The numbers of companies are designing their systems and technologies and will very soon operate their devices. Amazon.com and Alphabet's Google unit are both developing drones to deliver products. As per the US law, the agency must certify that any business carrying people or cargo for hire is economically'fit, willing and able' to perform. "The FAA still must approve of a drone air carrier's safety in a separate process," stated the DOT.

ECSU Will Offer 4-Year Drone Degree – DEEP AERO DRONES – Medium
Elizabeth City State University opens up the drone courses as part of the four-year aviation degree. "We can train our students in all these areas and we want our graduates to be entrepreneurs," said Professor Kuldeep Rawat, Director of the ECSU aviation science program. The students in the UAV classes learn to operate and fly drones, interact with air traffic control and use different payloads and sensors. The university also plans to build an outdoor flying facility with a net, sort of like a giant batting cage. As reported by the FAA, the industry could need more than 300000 new pilots in the next five years.
The Huge Swell That Hit The South West Captured On Stunning Drone Footage
The huge swell that hit the South West has been amazingly captured near Margaret River and Yallingup by Matt Durell, the local drone pilot. The captured stunning images are awe-inspiring and all thanks to the UAV and the pilot. "I saw the swell coming in and I've always wanted to fly the drone out there so I thought I'd put it up," says Durell. The three main breaks were captured via drones, namely- Cow Bombie, Yallingup's main break, and Injidup. He also adds that this was something the biggest swell he had ever filmed.
EENA & DJI New Emergency Drone Program- Part II – DEEP AERO DRONES – Medium
How can a drone be a life-saving object? Alfonso Zamarro, EENA's Drone Activities Manager, mentioned that the first phase brought great benefits for firefighters and search and rescue teams. Collaborating and making use of EENA efforts and emergency service, and DJI technical knowledge, they were able to notice how drones can help in such emergencies, and what all improvements it requires. "Phase II will go one step further and we need to study and understand its working," says Zamarro. What are the further steps of the program?
